On 07/05/2021 at approximately 0320 hours, the Bethel Police Communications received a report of a man with a gunshot wound in the 200 block of Ptarmigan. Police officers and fire medics responded to the scene and found an adult male cab driver shot in the face. The cab driver reported that his cab had been stolen by the man who shot him. The cab driver was taken to YKHC Emergency Room and was subsequently flown to Anchorage for treatment in stable condition. BPD police officers located the stolen car and are currently working the investigation.
