The 3A Western Conference Volleyball Tournament took place last weekend, November 5-6, 2021 at the Home of the Warriors. Competing teams joining the Warriors included the Kotzebue Huskies, the Nome Nanooks, and the Barrow Whalers.

Game one was between the number one seed Bethel Warriors and number four seed Kotzebue. Bethel won 25-15, 25-16, and 25-7. Game two was number two seed Nome vs. number three seed Barrow. Nome won in three very close matches, 26-25, 27-25, and 25-18.

Game three was the championship between Bethel and Nome. Bethel lost the first set 18-25, but then came back to sweep the next three sets 25-20, 26-24, and 25-10.

The game for second place determined who would be the other team to head to state. Nome defeated Barrow 3-1, the Lady Nanooks will be at the state finals.
