Bethel Fire Department Calls for week ending May and June

• 5/10/2022 01:45 EMS responded to a person reporting of general weakness.

• 5/10/2022 05:57 EMS responded to a person having chest pain.

• 5/10/2022 11:36 EMS responded to an intoxicated person.

• 5/11/2022 00:23 EMS responded to a person with traumatic injury.

• 5/11/2022 16:57 EMS responded to a person reporting to be in pain.

• 5/12/2022 02:05 EMS responded to a report of a medical incident.

• 5/12/2022 14:44 EMS responded to a report of an overdose.

• 5/13/2022 09:38 EMS were cancelled en route to assist officers.

• 5/14/2022 00:21 EMS responded to a report of seizures.

• Between 06/01/2022 and 06/30/2022, the Bethel Fire Department responded to 84 EMS and 12 Fire incidents.

• On 06/01/2022 at 8:55 p.m., firefighters responded to the area behind Trailer Court for the report of a brush fire. Upon arrival, firefighters observed smoke and flames coming from a 100-foot-wide area of brush. Firefighters hiked to the area with water packs, shovels, and chainsaws to make an initial attack on the fire. The fire was contained and mopped up. This incident is believed to have been caused by juvenile fire play.

• On 06/04/2022 at 3:37 a.m., firefighters responded to East Avenue for the report of a structure and vehicle fire. Upon arrival, firefighters observed heavy smoke and flames coming from two vehicles and a residence. Firefighters controlled and extinguished the fire hours later. The cause of the fire was initially classified as unintentional, but has since been changed to undetermined. An insurance fire investigator was called to investigate this incident. Two individuals received serious burns during this incident.

• On 06/06/2022 at 3:23 p.m., firefighters responded to Isaac Hawk Street for the report of a grass fire. Upon arrival, firefighters observed a steam bath and 40-foot area of tundra burning. Firefighters deployed fire hoses and extinguished the flames. This incident is believed to have been caused by juvenile fire play.

• 7/01/2022: Firefighters responded to a kitchen fire.

• Additionally, from 6/24/2022 to 7/01/2022, firefighters responded to 41 EMS calls and 4 other fire calls.
