Bethel Fire Department Calls for week ending May 12

• On 5-6-17 at 1:30 am medics responded to the Bowling Alley for report of intoxicated person. Patient was assessed and transported to the sobering center by CSP Officers.

• On 5-6-17 at or around 4:56 p.m., Medics responded to Akiak Drive for a person had an unknown problem/man down. The patient was assessed and transported to the hospital.

• On 5-6-17 at or around 5:41p.m. Medics responded to Ridgecrest Drive for a person with Altered Mental Status. The patient was assessed and transported to the hospital

• On 5-6-17 at or around 8:00p.m. Medics responded to Ravn Alaska for a person who was in an ATV accident in a village. The patient was assessed and transported to the Hospital

• On 05-08-17 at or around 8:26 a.m. firefighters responded to the Kuskokwim River near Standard Oil Road for the report of two intoxicated individuals floating on a large ice floe. One victims returned to shore by themselves. The other was combative towards rescuers, but brought to shore by boat. Bethel Police Department Officers placed the individual in custody.

• On 5-8-17 at or around 4:17 p.m., medic responded to Akakeek Street for a person with suicidal ideations. LEO on scene told medics they could stand down. Medics returned to station

• On 5-9-16 at or around 7:40a.m. Medics responded to Chief Eddie Hoffman State highway for a person holding a gun, LEO on scene advised medics that the patient was in LEO custody and they can return to station. Medics returned to station

• On 5-10-2017 at 4:49 EMTs responded to an AUTO vs Pedestrian. The patient was taken to the YKHC ER for evaluation.

• Other calls for the date of 5-10-2017 included 4 calls involving patients too intoxicated to care for themselves.

• On 05-11-17 at 1:12 p.m. medics responded to Ptarmigan Road for the report of a child who fell out of a vehicle and was bleeding from the head. Medics assessed, bandaged, and transported the patient to the hospital.

• On 05-12-17 at 12:37 a.m. medics responded to Kusko Court for the report of an infant experiencing a severe allergic reaction. Medics assessed and transported the patient to the hospital.

• On 05-12-17 at 5:17 a.m. medics responded to AC Main Store for the report of a person sleeping in the porch. The patient was assessed by medics, but refused transport to the hospital.

• On 05-12-17 at 6:00 p.m. medics responded to Larson Sub for the report of a person having a seizure. Patient was assessed and transported to the hospital.
