• On 6/01/2022 Firefighters responded to a wildfire.
• On 6/4/2022 Firefighters responded to a fully involved structure fire; EMS had 5 burn victims related to the structure fire.
• On 6/06/2022 Firefighters responded to a wildfire.
• On 6/11/2022 Firefighters responded to a car fire.
• On 6/12/2022 Firefighters responded to a steam bath fire.
• Additionally, firefighters responded to 47 EMS calls and 5 other fire calls.
• On 6/22/22 Bethel firefighters responded to a grass fire that was located behind trailer court. Approximate size was 30×30 feet.
• Additionally, for the week of 6/17/2022 – 6/24/2022, Bethel Emergency Medical Services responded to 1 cardiac emergency, 1 diabetic emergency, 5 traumatic injuries, 1 seizure, 2 psychological emergencies, 1 overdose, and 11 additional emergency medical calls.
• The department purchased a new Class-A Pumper Tender Apparatus (Fire Engine) from Pierce Manufacturing, Inc. under a cooperative bid purchasing contract from Sourcewell-MN and by utilizing a portion of the Fire Department’s Fleet Replacement Fund. This pumper will replace the 1986 Grumman-Spartan Super Pumper-Tanker, Engine 3. Due to production delays, this apparatus is anticipated to be shipped to Bethel on the first barge of 2023.
• The department is planning to purchase a new Type-1 Advanced Life Support (ALS) ambulance with fleet replacement funds in FY23.
