Bethel Fire Department Calls for week ending June 15

• On 06-08-18 at 5:12 p.m. medics responded to Fourth Avenue for the report of a bicyclist who was struck by a vehicle and bleeding from their head. The patient was assessed and transported to the hospital.
• On 06-08-18 at 10:58 p.m. medics responded to Ridgecrest Drive for the report of a person bleeding from the head. The patient was assessed and transported to the hospital.
• On 06-10-18 at 2:20 p.m. medics responded to Joe Lomack Beach for the report of an intoxicated person who was bitten by a dog. The patient was assessed and transported to the hospital.
• On 06-10-18 at 7:46 p.m. firefighters responded to Pinky’s Park for the report of a grass fire near the ONC Multipurpose Building. Firefighters deployed hose lines and extinguished the fire. The cause is under investigation and is suspected to have been set by children in the area.
• On 06-11-18 at 5:30 a.m. firefighters responded to the Bethel Police Department for the report of a fire alarm. Firefighters were unable to locate any evidence of fire and determined the alarm was caused by a malfunction.
• On 6-12-18 at 12:00 a.m. firefighters responded to Uivik Subdivision for the report of a grass fire. Upon arrival, firefighters observed a small fire in the grass. The fire was extinguished. The fire was caused by children playing with a lighter.
• On 06-13-18 at 5:40 p.m. medics responded to the Yukon Aviation for a person experiencing heart problems. The patient was assessed and transported to the hospital.
• On 06-13-18 at 9:39 p.m. firefighters responded to the area of Standard Oil Road for a sighting of smoke. Firefighters patrolled the area and found no incident and returned to the fire station.
• On 06-14-18 at 8:34 a.m. medics responded to the area of the BNC Complex for the report of a traffic accident. The patient was assessed, but refused transport to the hospital.
• On 06-14-18 at 8:47 a.m. medics responded to the National Guard Hanger for the report of a person experiencing pain. The patient was assessed and transported to the hospital.
• On 06-14-18 at 6:37 p.m. medics responded to the area of the Chief Eddie Hoffman Highway for the report of a person having suicidal thoughts. The patient was assessed and transported to the hospital.
• On 06-15-18 at 6:03 a.m. medics responded to the YKHC Sobering Center for the report of a person feeling lightheaded. The patient was assessed and transported to the hospital.
• On 06-15-18 at 9:04 p.m. medics responded to Akiachak Drive for the report of a person who cut their knee. The patient was assessed and bandaged, but refused transport to the hospital.
