Bethel Fire Department Calls for week ending February 21

• On 2-15-19 at 4:10 p.m. Medics responded to Akakeek St. for the report of an intoxicated person. Medics were canceled by BPD PTA due to the patient getting up and leaving.

• On 2-15-19 at 6:25 p.m. Medics responded to Kilbuck St. for the report of an intoxicated person. The patient was assessed and transported to the hospital.

• On 2-15-19 at 8:32 p.m. Firefighters responded to BNC apartments for the report of smoke that was smelt on the second floor of the apartments. Firefighters observed initially no smoke or flames and fire alarms were sounding with some residents outside. When firefighters entered the second floor they noticed an excessive amount of marijuana smoke. Firefighters determined that the smoke alarms were set off due to the marijuana smoke. Firefighters reset fire alarms and went back into service.

• On 2-15-19 at 10:05 p.m. Medics responded to Eddie Hoffman State Hwy for the report of a person hit by car. The patient took off running prior to medics arriving. Medics checked surrounding area, and were unable to locate the patient.

• On 2-16-19 at 11 a.m. medics responded to Akakeek for a person that drank painkillers. Patient assessed and transported to the hospital.

• On 2-18-19 at 3:56 p.m. firefighters responded to Uivik Sub for a baby that was locked inside alone. Firefighters opened the door for the mom and reunited baby and mom.

• On 2-19-19 at 3:14 a.m. firefighters responded to behind the Liquor store for a vehicle on fire. On arrival, firefighters found a vehicle fully involved in flames. Firefighters extinguished the fire.

• On 2-19-18 at 3:44 a.m. medics responded to Watsons Corner for a person with a dislocated arm and ankle. Patient assessed and transported to the hospital.

• On 2-19-19 at 5:18 a.m. medics responded to the Sobering Center for a person with tingling face. Patient assessed and transported to the hospital.

• On 2-20-19 at 9:20 a.m. medics responded to the District Office for a person who fell and is bleeding. Patient assessed and transported to the hospital.

• On 2-20-19 at 5:30 p.m. medics responded to Blueberry Sub for a dog bite. No patient was found reporting party was intoxicated.

• On 2-21-19 at 3:30 p.m. medics responded to the courthouse for the report of a person having a panic attack. Patient refused treatment or transport.

• On 2-21-19 at 6:00 p.m. medics responded to Joe Lomack for the report of a person who had a snow machine crash. Patient was assessed and transported to the hospital.
