• Fire
On 07-11-2025 at 03:15 AM, Firefighters responded to the report of porch on fire. Firefighters initiated a fire suppression attack, extinguishing the flames, and containing it to the porch area. A search of the residence was done, and residual smoke was ventilated from the residence. The cause of the fire was possibly due to improper disposal of a lit cigarette. The home was returned to the owner and Engine 5 returned to service.
• On 07-15-2025 at 05:30 PM, Firefighters responded to a vehicle fire at the BIA Road Sand Pit. When Engine 5 arrived on scene, the vehicle was found fully engulfed in flames with black smoke. Firefighters deployed an attack line and extinguished the fire with a water / foam combination. The fire was contained to the vehicle and no victims were present. A Thermal Imaging Camera was used to confirm there were no remaining hot spots on the vehicle that could reignite. The fire’s cause is unknown and the vehicle was abandoned in the sand pit for multiple weeks.
