Here’s a link to the final State wide primary vote … It amazes me how far left Alaska has moved in the last 15 years…
https://www.elections.alaska.gov/election-results
If you see high Democrat numbers in District Primaries, you see voters that are embracing the end of the PFD and throwing their arms wide open to embrace a State Sales Tax … It’s really that simple. Budgetary numbers don’t lie ‼️ The Governor’s ten year forecast has us living with a BILLION DOLLAR PLUS deficit, starting in two years … that would be 2026…
Contrary to popular beliefs, some legislators actually tell the truth, on occasion … Senator Hoffman, the PFD will be gone before I retire … Representative Edgmon, “we’re going to take it, with or without the public’s consent”…
They’re not lying. Legislative Finance has the PFD gone within three years in their projections … Which is a year longer than Hoffman or Governor Dunleavy will be in office, so I’m betting the PFD is gone in two. Then the only tax with enough legislative support to pass is the sales tax, which will be a priority fix for the gross overspending they’re already committed to. That’s nearly $150 Million a year, each year with the automatic increases built into the budget … 7 years is nearly a Billion Dollars, without the legislature passing another anything Bill. WORSE YET, not anywhere near enough new revenue to cover the automatic increase debt to the budget …
Now… Alaskans with an IQ bigger than the number of years our PFD has been ripped off, (9), will crawl over broken glass to vote on the first Tuesday of November for budgetary sanity … especially in Rural Alaska where 60+% are lower income … Yes YK Delta I’m talking to you!!
Your kids’ future depends on it. Out here on the YK Delta, don’t give free passes to any of the four of us running for the House of Representatives.
Start asking hard questions about increased school funding and where the money comes from. Ask about returning to a defined Benefits retirement and where the billions come from. Ask about Cook Inlet gas “shortages” and whether or not the State should subsidize the expansion of the field. Ask about why we should let the Legislators off the hook for depleting our two saving accounts of nearly $20 Billion dollars. Yes that was Billions!
Ask how they intend to get a major improvement in “chronic truancy” down from 45-60% for Delta schools. Ask how they are going to address the rising costs of living out here. Ask them why as a Democrat their party platform demands the end of the PFD. Ask them why we should be voting to change the constitution to allow the ERA to merge with the PF Corpus? Ask them why the Democrats’ platform demands men have access to play on girls’ sports teams, use of girls’ locker rooms and restrooms. Ask them if they support schools hiding information on their child’s gender identity.
Don’t let Nellie Jimmie or CJ McCormick dodge the questions. Your future depends on it. My answers are on public display Friday mornings on KEDI FM Radio and of course, feel free to scroll my Facebook profile. Years of birddogging the legislature is available to read.
In November vote for your future, vote Willy.

Regulations for subsistence take of wildlife published in Federal Register
On August 29, 2024, the Federal Subsistence Board (Board) published in the Federal Register the final rule for the subsistence taking of wildlife, (89 FR 70348). This final rule establishes the seasons, harvest limits, and methods and means for the taking of subsistence wildlife in Alaska for the 2024–25 and 2025–26 regulatory years. This rule also revises the customary and traditional use determinations for wildlife, the general regulations, and a deferred proposal from the last fish cycle.
The Board published the proposed rule on February 27, 2023 (88 FR 12285), to amend the wildlife section of subparts C and D of 36 CFR part 242 and 50 CFR part 100. Publication of the proposed rule opened a public proposal and review process. The final rule reflects Board review and consideration of recommendations from the 10 Federal Subsistence Regional Advisory Councils, tribal and ANCSA corporation consultations, and public comments.
This rule is effective immediately. The 2024-2026 wildlife regulations book can be found at https://www.doi.gov/media/document/wildlife-regulations-book-2024-2026. Hard copies are currently being published and will be distributed to field offices soon.
