The Election Summary Report for the State of Alaska General Election unofficial results have been updated as of November 16th, 2024. The final voting tabulations will be available on Wednesday, November 20th, 2024. Below are the updated numbers.

In this race, there are approximately 9,000 more ballots to be counted, according to online reports. Begich currenlty leads by 8,338 votes.
House District 38 (Akiachak, Akiak, Atmautluak, Bethel, Chefornak, Chevak, Eek, Kasigluk, Kipnuk, Kongiganak, Kwethluk, Kwigillingok, Mekoryuk, Napakiak, Napaskiak, Newtok, Nightmute, Nunapitchuk, Oscarville, Quinhagak, Toksook Bay, Tuluksak, Tuntutuliak, and Tununak)
Nellie Jimmie 1,284 (36.47%)
C.J. McCormick 1,129 (29.34%)
Willy Keppel 903 (25.65%)
Victoria Sosa 192 (5.45%)
Jimmie is ahead by 155 votes currently. So far none of the four candidates in House District 38 received over 50% + 1 of the votes in the first round of voting. If, after counting all the votes on November 20th, none of the candidates go over 50% +1, voting will go to Round 2 in the RCV tabulation system where the candidate with the least amount of first choice votes is eliminated.
In Round 3, the same process is repeated until there are two candidates left and the one with the most votes wins.
Ballot Initiatives
Ballot Measure #1: An initiative to increase Alaska’s minimum wage, provide workers with paid sick leave, and protect workers from practices that violate their constitutional rights now has 176,591 Yes votes (57.65%) and the No’s have 129,749 votes (42.35%).
For Ballot Measure #2: An Act to get rid of the Open Primary System and Ranked-Choice General Election now has 155,592 yes votes (50.14%) and 154,697 no votes (49.86%). This is a difference of only 895 votes.
As for the very two close races in this year election, the results for House District 18 now show incumbent Cliff Groh (D) still in the lead with 1,713 votes (50.10%) and challenger David Nelson (R) with 1,703 votes (49.81%). The amount of votes separating them has shrunk from 28 to 10.
In Senate District P in Fairbanks, incumbent Scott Kawasaki extended his lead from 74 votes to 349. He now has 5,909 votes (51.38%). Challenger Leslie Hajdukovich now has 5,560 votes (48.34%).
