Alaska Airlines and Ravn Air Group announce codeshare agreement

Today (March 28th, 2019) Ravn Air Group (“Ravn”) and Alaska Airlines announced a new and expanded codeshare agreement and frequent flier partnership, which will provide more seamless travel and mileage earning opportunities throughout the state of Alaska.

Effective on the first of April, Ravn Air Group subsidiaries Ravn Alaska and PenAir will have Alaska Airlines codeshare on flights to 15* markets as part of a strengthened alliance to better serve customers traveling throughout the 49th state.

The new agreement provides travelers with access to a broader network with more flight choices, better schedules, and easier booking. As Alaska’s largest regional airline, Ravn already connects more than 115 Alaska villages, towns and cities, and with Alaska Airlines serving 100+ destinations, the new codeshare agreement will not only improve customer access across the state, but enhance travel opportunities to the lower 48, Canada, Costa Rica, and Mexico.

“Stronger together, Ravn Alaska and PenAir are thrilled to be partnering with Alaska Airlines to provide our customers with greater choice, access, and flexibility,” said Dave Pflieger, Ravn Air Group President & CEO. “Through the expanded codeshare, our valued customers will benefit from unprecedented connectivity both in and out of the state. With a continued focus on safety, operational excellence, customer service, and employee pride, we look forward to a long and successful partnership to advance Alaska air travel.”

Alaska Mileage Plan members will also enjoy additional opportunities to earn miles, which can be used for travel to more than 900 destinations across the globe.

“We’re pleased to welcome a new and enhanced airline partnership to our Alaska communities that offers more routes and destinations,” said Andrew Harrison, EVP and Chief Commercial Officer at Alaska Airlines. “Alaska Airlines and Ravn are committed to connecting businesses, communities and families safely to destinations throughout Alaska and beyond. The strength of the new Ravn Air Group, joining Ravn Alaska and PenAir, means even more choices for our guests and an easier shopping experience. And our Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan members will be able to earn more miles under this expanded codeshare agreement.”
