I am convinced that a truck battery should be replaced every 5 years if it’s running heavy and steady for that length of time.
I am amazed how auto technology has come in the last seven years! Today I was pleasantly surprised that Batteries Plus has a jump starter that if charged four hours will jump start a truck out in the field multiple times provided the auto battery is not 7-8 years old.
I have discovered X2 power 1500A 12v performance lithium jump starter will start engines up to 7.0L gasoline or 5.5L diesel up to 40 jumps on a single 4 hour charge and also jump starts motorcycles, ATVs, PWCs, and gas powered cars up to 7.0L or 5.5L diesel vehicles out in the field provided the charger is not run down.
If I have a battery problem out in the middle of nowhere I am happy that I have this jump starter to get home! Such was my experience this past week when my Ford truck wouldn’t start.
