Dear Friends,

Although the house has passed its comprehensive fiscal plan, the work in other areas continues. I want to bring attention to a few items in order to give additional opportunities to take action and add our voices to the process.

A State Budget for All Alaskans

At the end of March, the house successfully passed HB 57, which was a bipartisan effort to work towards equitable solutions to benefit all Alaskans. The House’s four pillar plan now lies in the hands of the Alaska State Senate (Senate), which is why we need your voice.

How You Can Help Make This a Reality

Please contact the members of the Senate via email, or more efficiently, by phone. Every call matters, and the result will help move us towards a more financially secure Alaska.

Thanks Michelle Sparck

Anyone contacting my office during the first 90 days almost certainly interacted with Michelle Sparck, one of our great staff. Michelle was committed to ensuring the office ran smoothly and was dedicated to serving the constituents of the District 38. Unfortunately for us Michelle had to leave April 19th to return to her family, I’m sure they’re thrilled. Thanks Michelle for all of your amazing help throughout the session and we look forward to seeing you next year.

New Office Staff – Jeffrey Eide

To fill the spot left by Michelle for the remainder of the session, I am extremely pleased to announce that we have brought on Jeffrey Eide, a community organizer and activist. Jeffrey has dedicated nearly a decade to developing human rights across the country and internationally. Please help us give a huge District 38 welcome to Jeffrey.
