A better year

by Peter Twitchell

I learn something new every day and that’s a good thing and the fact is that we all do. How has it been all these many years that I thought Merrill Field in Anchorage was private aircraft owners haven and nothing else.

I just realized the other day that air taxies also operate out of Merrill Field when a friend asked for a ride from, Dena-ina Air Taxi Terminal. It was a delightful awakening for me.

It was a delightful awakening from the ever-changing subvariants of the Corona Virus.

It was refreshing not to run to the Anchorage Ted Stevens airport to give someone a ride but from a place I least expected to operate a passenger aircraft in and out of Anchorage. It turned out to be a positive and healthy awakening for me.

As long as we are breathing fresh air we are always learning something new about our lives and that we are not living in a vacuum but in the world that’s ever-changing for the better of mankind.

I sure thank my two friends whom I can reach out to and ask for assistance, and to give help when I can give it. This is another chapter in my life other than the dark chapter of the last two years.

I will pray that we will have a better year and a great summer of fishing, berry picking, and working better to help each other move on in life. Quyanaqvaa.
