Terrell Andrews, wearing bib #6, of Bethel is this year’s winner of the Akiak Dash. He crossed the finish line at 7:55:04 PM. His team was led by Cricket and Lightning. Congratulations Terrell!

Pavila Wins Bogus Creek 150

Congratulations to 15-year-old rookie Jason Pavila on winning the 2019 Bogus Creek 150 title. Pavila arrived in Bethel at 9:37am Saturday morning.

All Stars lead LKSD to second at NYO state meet LKSD All-Star 2 foot high kicker Isaiah Charles of Newtok is captured in this split-second shot where he connects with the sealskin ball at 86″. The NYO State Championship was held April 21-23 in Anch.

Spring Skies over Bethel A rainbow and the tundra are overshadowed by a spectacular looking downpouring cloud on May 3rd, 2016 in Bethel with the setting sun giving it a fiery glow.

Extreme Biking Ben Kuntz of Bethel and his faithful dog Ruby were out on a fat biking excursion on the frozen Kuskokwim River last Sunday. The big tires of the Surly fat bike make it fun to ride on extreme terrain, such as the snow-covered river.
