Norman Nick Tuq’uq Small April 9, 1969 – February 20, 2018

Norman Nick Small was born to Louis and Ina Small April 9, 1969. Norman went to elementary school in Twin Hills and high school at Manokotak. He graduated from Manokotak and after school he moved to Platinum.
He enjoyed bringing the whole family to gather and cook out. He served as Platinum Traditional Village Council and Tribal President for 15 years. He also served as a council member and was our BBAHC health representative. He was employed by the City as a Water Operator. He raised 3 children and was a father to Samantha and an Uppa to Oakley. He affectionately was called Uppa Tuq by Deania’s niece and nephew’s kids.
Norman is survived by his wife Deania, his children: Samantha, Nathan, Jocelyn and Zachary, and Grandson Oakley. His nieces and nephews: Hazel, Sarah, Samuel, Linda, Larry, Roxann, Kayla; Great nephews and nieces: Lori, Trisha, Aaron, Angelina, Felix, Aiden, Stanley, Donna, Connor, Ava, Breah, and Andrew.
He was preceded in death by his Parents: Louis and Ina Small; brother John Small; and niece Donna Mae Small.
