The 17-and-under mushers had a half-hour layover at the fishcamp where they enjoyed hot dogs and other goodies.

The weather was glorious and the trail was great.

In total, there were seven mushers who participated in the event. The teams were allowed up to 5 dogs. As the race started, support crews in vehicles and on snowmachines followed the racers up the trail. Each musher was awarded $75.
