Hayden Lieb and Thomas Dyment travelled to Virginia Beach, VA to compete in the 2017 National High School Coaches Association National Tournament March 24-26. This tournament showcases most of the top high school wrestlers from around the country in an all class system – Freshman wrestle Freshman, Sophomores all together and so on. The top 8 in each weight class earn All-American honors.

After losing his first match, Thomas Dyment stormed back and won his next 4. If he would have won his last match, he would have made it to the placement matches – 1 match away from being an All-American. Still, out of the 38 wrestlers in his bracket, he was top 12 with a 4-2 record on the weekend.

Hayden Lieb won his first 4 matches to make it to the Semi-Finals. He lost his next 2 matches to make it to the 5th/6th place match which he won in overtime. He earned Bethel Wrestling’s first High School All-American honors.
