Bethel Fire Department Calls for week ending October 27

 

• On 10-21-17 at 6:40 p.m. Career Firefighters responded to the Bethel Regional High School for the report of a person with an injury to their knee. Patient was assessed and transported to the hospital.

• On 10-21-17 at 8:44 p.m. Career Medics responded to the BNC Town Houses for the report of a person in labor. Patient was assessed and transported to the hospital.

• On 10-23-17 at 2:24 p.m. Career Firefighters responded to the Court House for the report of a fire alarm. Upon arrival fire fighters found that a pull station had been activated by a minor and that the alarm was false. Firefighters cleared the scene and returned to quarters.

• On 10-23-17 at 7;49 p.m. Career Firefighters responded to the area of Q2 for the report of a car on fire. Upon arrival firefighters found that the fire had been put out by a bystander with a dry chemical extinguisher. Firefighters cleared the scene and returned to quarters.

• On 10-23-17 at 7:56 p.m. Career Firefighters were dispatched for the report of a person whose foot had been run over. Patient was transported by BPD Officers, medics told to stand down.

• On 10-24-17 at 6:11 am Career Firefighters and a volunteer responded to the area of Front Street for the report of a person who had twisted their ankle. Patient was assessed and transported to the hospital.

• On 10-24-17 at 3:15 p.m. Career Firefighters and a volunteer responded to Tundra Ridge area for a person having a behavioral episode. The patient was taken to the Emergency Room at the hospital.

• On 10-24-17 at 5:03 p.m. Career Firefighters and a Volunteer responded to the report of a person with a hurt finger, the patient refused care and evaluation.

• On 10-25-17at 6:44 a.m. Career Firefighters and a Volunteer responded to the hospital alongside Bethel Police Officers and the Police Chief for an assist of a patient to get into the ER. Firefighters would like to thank Bethel Police Officers for their assistance.

• On 10-25-17 at 11:15 a.m. Career Firefighters responded to the area Ptarmigan Street for the report of a person having trouble with their smoke detectors. Firefighters replaced the batteries, tested smoke detectors and returned to quarters.

• On 10-26-17 at 5:35 p.m. on duty Firefighter/EMTs requested off duty staff and volunteers to assist with multiple calls.

• On 10-26-17 at 9 p.m. Firefighters responded to the area of East Ave for a highly intoxicated person. They were assessed and taken to the hospital.

• On 10-27-17 Firefighters responded for a highly intoxicated person passed out in AC Main. They were assessed and taken to the ER.
