by Preston Alexie

My name is Preston Alexie. I am a sophomore at Kuinerrarmiut Elitnaurviat. This season in cross country I earned fourth place at the Lower Kuskokwim School District Regionals. That earned me the right to compete at the Alaska Schools Activities Association state meet. I have the opportunity to attend a competition and compete in Brisbane, Australia through Down Under Sports in June 2018. I am writing to ask for donations to help fund this once in a lifetime opportunity.

I am a hard worker at school and in sports. I currently have a 3.2 GPA. I am a leader in my school and recently attended Ciuneq in Seattle, Washington. By attending this opportunity, I hope to share my experiences with people in my community. I want to learn more about different places in the world. By attending I hope to grow as a person and strengthen my current leadership qualities. I want the chance to represent my family, school, and the community of Quinhagak. If I attend this trip, I plan on sharing the information with students at my school.

To attend this opportunity my family and I have to raise the money and fund the trip ourselves. I plan on attending this trip with my mother and father. They support me in all aspects of my life and they want to be there for me. I plan on fundraising and working hard to raise the money for this trip. I am asking for donations to help me fund this trip. If you have questions or would like to make a donation please call my mother Jessica at (907) 556-2710 or email [email protected]. Thank you for your consideration.

Preston Alexie is the son of Jonathan and Jessica Alexie of Quinhagak.
